There are places, but my advice would be to avoid them. They tend to hold you hostage when it comes to the interest rates (sometimes climbing as high as 50%), user fees and mandatory insurances. So depending on how badly you need the loan, really, really reconsider it.

Personally, I would work on improving my credit score, if even slightly first. Look around and see if you can get a prepaid credit card. Many of them reflect on your credit bureau and can help immensely.

I know it’s not really what you asked, sorry, but being in the personal lending industry I’ve seen way too many people fall into the trap of high risk lenders.

edit…Gee, I wonder if Mr. Cobbs likes Nigeria.

You might want to try your local credit union. They usually can offer help because the branch manager can authorize loans up to a certain amount. The big name banks usually go through corporate, so it is harder to obtain loans that way.

That’s not a good situation as it seems like you might have some difficulty paying the loan back. However, if your low score is by having high credit utilization, lenders might be interested in lending you money if your credit limit is low. However, if you’ve been irresponsible with money and have DQs, they probably won’t be interested on Prosper.com or you’ll have to pay a higher interest rate. DQs really turn me off as a lender on Prosper. I only lend to people $50 at a time. Lenders can lend as little as $50 and the more attractive your listing, the more likely you are to receive bids. If the interest rate is too low for your credit rating, you probably will receive very few if any bids.

If you have a 520-600 FICO score try Prosper as a E or HR borrower. If you have a higher FICO score, you will at least have a D credit rating with Prosper and may be able to get an interest rate. If you can improve your credit to 680, you likely well get a much better rate. You especially will benefit by a FICO score above 720.

I am a lender there at Prosper. You can borrow between $1,000 and $25,000. You can go to Prosper via the following link:

    Good luck.

Don’t pay attention to the people on here who are trying to Scam you. Beware of Advance fee Loan scams.
DO NOT take any offers or click any links from people that post on this board… 99.8% of them are SCAMS.

my Advice: Don’t deal with anyone from a foreign country and never use wire transfer services..

People with poor credit feel that it is difficult to get personal loans. However, there are many financial companies and banks that provide loans to bad credit applicants. Bad credit personal loans are generally soughtThe interest rates on secured loans are lower than unsecured loans. However, there is always the risk of losing your house or property if the loan is not repaid.

There are plenty of places that offer loans for people with bad credit with no-hassle applications and easy requirements.

Some of these lenders even offer 1 minute approvals, and have both secured and unsecured loans, depending on your need and situation. Check the page listed below, it has information and bad credit lenders listed off and on.
